Maison Madeleine is located in the southern part of the city, in “San Paolo” district.

"San Paolo" is one of the liveliest and most popular neighborhoods in Rome. This is due to the lively university life, which has contributed to the creation of clubs, bars and restaurants, which are meeting places not only for young students, but also for tourists and residents.

The large area hosts the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the 4 papal basilicas of Rome, second in size only to St. Peter in the Vatican. Adjacent to the Basilica is the Schuster park, chosen for the location of the monument in memory of the fallen of Nassiriya.

In this neighborhood you will find all services and amenities needed during your stay: all kinds of shops, laundry mat, pharmacy, restaurants, supermarkets, newsagents, bars and tobacco stands.

Maison Madeleine is located at a stone's throw from line B of the Rome Metro.

Which is only 3 stops from the Circus Maximus and 4 stops from the Colosseum.

If you would like to take a ride down to the sea, a train leaves from the same underground stop "Basilica di San Paolo" that will take you from Rome to Ostia, notoriously known as a summer destination for roman citizens.

The district of San Paolo is rich in history, art and culture, and is well connected to the city centre and to the major tourist attractions of Rome, but the "inhabitants" of this district are no less of a spectacle.

Walking through the neighboring streets, you will soon find yourself breathing the true Roman spirit in the historic district of Garbatella, a small village in the city. Here, you will be captivated by its particular architecture and authentic local cuisine.

It isn’t far from the Ostiense, which has officially become one of the street art districts of Rome. Full of clubs, restaurants, bars, it is ideal for enjoying a pleasant evening after visiting the beauties of Rome. Not only nightlife, but also history and culture: the Gazometro, the Centrale Montemartini, the River Port and the General Markets are the sign of recognition of this area: buildings no longer in use have found new purposes. It is not for nothing that this district was chosen by the Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek, to shoot the scenes of one of his most exciting films “The Ignorant Fairies”.

At stone's throw from the wonderful open-air street art condominium museum, unique in the world.  In the heart of the Tor Marancia district, there you can admire about 20 murals on the facades of 11 buildings.

For bicycle lovers, there are cycle paths within walking distance whose paths will take you to the center of Rome, the neighborhood E.U.R. It boast a beautiful artificial lake, and many other places to discover on two wheels.
